Rabat – Jordan has reiterated its firm position in favor of Morocco’s territorial integrity on Saturday.Jordanian Minister of Foreign Affairs Ayman Al Safdi reiterated his country’s unwavering support for Morocco regarding the Western Sahara conflict. “Our position on the question of the Moroccan Sahara is clear, namely the preservation of the territorial integrity of the kingdom of Morocco and the achievement of a political solution within the framework of the international system of reference and UN Security Council resolutions relating to this matter,” Al Safdi said. Read Also: Bourita Visits Jordan, Reaffirms Morocco’s Commitment to Bilateral CooperationAl Safdi reiterated his country’s position in a joint press briefing with Morocco’s Foreign Affairs Minister Nasser Bourita, who flew to Amman on July 19 for a three day visit to Jordan.This visit is also an opportunity to monitor the implementation of the content of the Joint Statement issued following Jordan’s King Abdullah II bin Al-Hussein’s official visit to Morocco on March 27-28, 2019.During the visit, the two monarchs discussed recent developments in the region, including the situation in Syria and the Palestinian cause. During Bourita’s visit, Morocco and Jordan signed a military and technical cooperation agreement.Both kingdoms also signed two memoranda of understanding on political consultation and collaboration between the Jordanian Diplomatic Institute and the Moroccan Academy of Diplomatic Studies.
